The numbers going around these days from Washington are truly frightening. I have decided that if I die quickly enough I can be the last person to get all the social security benefits I was promised.

The quality of health care is going to fall for sure. If they cut the payments to doctors, doctors will do less. It's human nature "I will do the amount of work you are paying me for" if I am not getting enough money per patient, then I have to see more patients. That short fall in time has to come somewhere.

Even the availability of care may be in danger for seniors. See the old codgers only if we can't get enough full paying patients, kind of thing. Retirement ages have increased and I expect there to be a means test for benefits soon. That will turn Social Security into a welfare program pure and simple. One of those programs the average Joe funds for those who can not work. Sounds a lot like socialism and I'm one of the pigs at the trough.

So I hope I die before they decide to make cuts that will effect me personally. I no longer go to doctors or take medicines so maybe with a little luck I'll die in my sleep.
