Tis the season

When we all get to be authorities on everything. It's the grand election cycle again. This time for control of the congress. It looks to me like it will be mostly new people. The question is will they be Democrats or Republicans.

Will we the people send back clones of the old guys or try something new. I read the election results of last night with great interest. I also read the comments by so called ordionary folks about the election results.

From the comments that the media is choosing to float around, it appears that most of the black Americans think that conservatives want to bring back slavery I think they believe that every tea party candidate has somehow embedded in their speeches some kind of subliminal message, "Vote for me and pick your own slave". That is the most asinine thing I have ever heard. If you want to control spending the government has to get it's house in order. If you want to get the house in order, it means less give away programs as well as many other things. So does less give aways = slavery somehow. If that is true in people's minds, what kind of thing does that say about our electorate. Are we going to be like Greece, riots in the streets because we have gone bankrupt and can't continue to give away the keys to the treasury.

Where the hell is the sense that we are all in this together gone. We have become a nation of self indulged sheep, ready and willing to be sheered by our government. Come on we the people wake up, we need to sacrifice and we need to do the right thing. The right thing is often painful but it is still the right thing.

And to be honest in this economy, I couldn't afford a slave and I doubt that a majority of the other people in this country could either, so get a grip guys. You can finally be happy with the fact that, We really don't want you.
